Krueger, Vera Dean (Marriage - 13 May 1944)
Miss Vera Dean Krueger, the daughter of Mrs. Ervin Koerner, Curtiss, exchanged wedding vows with Fredrick Laabs, Jr., son of I. W. Laabs, Sr., also of Curtiss, at a ceremony performed in the parsonage of the Evangelical Reformed church at Colby, May 13, at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. D. Grether officiated.
Attendants were by Miss Valoris Krueger and Harry Laabs.
For the occasion the bride was attired in a gray woolen suit with which she wore pink and black accessories, Her maid of honor wore a soldier blue suit with white and black accessories. Both had corsages of roses.
Following the ceremony the immediate relatives and closest friends were served dinner.
Mrs. Laabs is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school and her husband was graduated from the Owen high school. He is now employed by the Laabs Cheese company, at Milan. They are residing at Curtiss.
Guests from away were Miss Valoris Krueger, Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. George Pease and family, Wisconsin Rapids.
